Actor

As a performer, Shayla is drawn to emotionally grounded storytelling that explores vulnerability, humanity, transformation, and connection. With roots in classical theater and ensemble-driven performance, her work is deeply influenced by character-centered narratives that challenge audiences to reflect, empathize, and engage more deeply with the human experience.

A Southern California native, Shayla toured nationally for five years and spent seven years performing with a successful Los Angeles theater company, including productions of The Vagina Monologues and Avenue Q. Though her career later expanded into producing, writing, and immersive storytelling, theater has always remained at the heart of her artistic foundation.

Her return to the stage in Purpose with Curious Theatre Company marks a meaningful return to one of her greatest creative passions and a continued commitment to storytelling that is emotionally honest, human, and transformative.
