Author & Storyteller

Through immersive storytelling, Shayla creates expansive narrative worlds that bridge mythology, history, speculative fiction, and human emotion across multiple forms of media. Writing under the name S. Riggle, her work explores themes of power, identity, memory, spirituality, legacy, and transformation through deeply layered characters and cinematic worldbuilding.

Her debut universe, Gods of Empires, is an epic sci-fi fantasy saga inspired by ancient Kush, Egypt, global mythologies, and futuristic political systems. Designed as a multi-platform storytelling experience, the world extends beyond traditional novels into visual media, gaming, live experiences, and immersive worldbuilding.

At the center of Shayla’s creative work is a commitment to emotionally resonant storytelling that challenges perception, honors underrepresented narratives, and creates worlds that feel both timeless and deeply human.
