The World Builder — Gods of Empires

Worldbuilding is at the center of everything Shayla creates. Drawing inspiration from mythology, ancient civilizations, spirituality, political power structures, memory, and human emotion, her work explores how stories shape cultures across generations.

Her upcoming epic sci-fi fantasy universe, Gods of Empires, blends Afrofuturism, speculative fiction, historical inspiration, and immersive mythology into a multi-platform storytelling experience spanning literature, gaming, film, and live experiences.

Through layered histories, complex political systems, spiritual cosmologies, and emotionally grounded characters, Shayla’s creative work aims to build worlds that feel both cinematic in scale and deeply human at their core. Her approach to storytelling centers on legacy, identity, transformation, and the enduring relationship between power and humanity.
